ABOUT

Sharley is a versatile performer who works across both stage and screen, bringing depth, honesty, and adaptability to every role throughout Australia and the UK. She is known for her dedication to her craft and her ability to find truth in every performance. Most recently, Sharley was selected as one of the top 24 finalists for the Rob Guest Endowment, a prestigious accolade recognising emerging talent in the musical theatre industry.

Sharley made her music theatre debut as Kylar in the highly successful Australian Premiere of ‘Bring It On: The Musical’ (Stagemasters/ David Venn). She also features in the role of Emma in the much loved Australian series ‘Ja’mie, Private School Girl’ (ABC/BBC/HBO) and worked alongside Chris Lilley and John Foreman to record the title track ‘Learning To Be Me’. Sharley has recently returned to Australia after training in London & securing the lead role in a new West End musical where she was set to play Charley in ‘Ghostlight: a new musical' (West End). 

 

Sharley has had the opportunity to workshop an array of different shows. She has worked on ‘The Who’s Tommy’ for The Victorian Opera, as well as ‘Ragtime’ & ‘A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder’ for The Production Company, alongside Dana Jolly. Whilst under the tutelage of Andrew Hallsworth, Sharley appeared as Shinequa & Others in ‘The Toxic Avenger’, Lorraine in ‘Handbag’ and was the Female Swing and Understudy for the role of Marcy in the ‘The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee’. Upon graduating, Sharley was instantly cast as the lead in ‘Resilience Rocks’ (The Playground Craze).  She has also travelled around Australia performing at events as Marvel superhero ‘Black Widow’.

 

Sharley’s other screen work includes the lead roles of Goldilocks in the short film ‘Eavesdropping’, Kelly in the webseries ‘The Bad Things Begin’, Baby Punk in the pilot ‘Iron City’, Prisoner in YNG Martyr music video ‘LV Steppers’, as well as countless other roles in upcoming short films, feature films & music videos. In 2022, 'Tui Na' had its world premiere at the Melbourne International Film Festival before playing overseas & was placed on The Curb's list of 'Best Australian Films of 2022'. 'Tui Na' was then shortlisted for the Iris Prize. 

Her extensive TVC credits, which have aired in Australia, China, Europe & Fiji have allowed her to work with companies such as; Oodie, Four’n Twenty, City of Port Phillip, Timezone, Moose Toys, Pearlii, Zip Pay, Square Australia, Explore Port Phillip, Milky Journey, Cherryhill Orchards, Good Sports, Bayside Council, WDEA Works for Me, Backcare Group, as well as an ongoing relationship with Vidico & Full Brow Cosmetics.

 

Sharley is currently continuing to advance her training under the mentorship of Hannah Fredericksen, Jensen Overend and Luca Dinardo. She is proudly represented by Arran Jones Associates.
